What is the Cedar Valley Community Foundation?
Cedar Valley Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improve the quality of life for all residents of the City of Cedar Valley through activities and programs that foster community, economic, and /or educational development.

  • What benefits do 501(c)(3) Non-profits Enjoy?
    The benefits include: It can receive grants from private foundations and the government, it is exempt from many federal, state, and local taxes; it can provide a tax deduction to individual donors.
  • How can individuals donate?
    Donations can be made by check and/or cash. Checks can be written out to the “Cedar Valley Community Foundation”. Donations can be mailed and/or dropped off at: 210 Par Ave. Guthrie, OK 73044.
  • What will my donation be used for?
    The Cedar Valley Community Foundation has set up 7 types of funds these donations can go to:

1. Community Fund – These funds would be used towards social type events, projects, and/or any items that encourage community growth to the residents of this town. Example: include the money being spent on festivals, holiday parties, senior workout equipment, etc.

2. Park & Recreation Fund – This fund will be used to build a park, pavilion w/bathrooms, walking trails and parking.
3. Scholarship Fund – This will be a college scholarship fund. The goal would be to give a deserving graduating High School seniors living in the City of Cedar Valley a college scholarship.
4. Township Fund – These funds would be given to the city of Cedar Valley and the Board of Trustees of the city will decide how to spend the money they receive from this fund.
5. Beautification Fund – These funds will be for the goal to make our City more beautiful. Examples would include: Landscaping work, Lawn/Weed Maintenance, installation of planters, trees, benches, road/sign improvements, etc.
6. General Fund – These funds/contributions not assigned to a special purpose fund. It provides the resources necessary to sustain the day-to-day activities and thus pays for all operating expenses.
7. Economic Development Fund – The foundation would mainly use the fund for this program to help the business grow in the city.
